The Cathedral Museum Hildesheim is centrally located and easy to reach - whether you want to come to us on foot, by bike, by public transport or by car.
Travelling on foot
The cathedral museum and the cathedral courtyard have barrier-free access and can be visited without restrictions.
Travelling by bike
We are also happy to welcome you by bike. At the Domhof you will find plenty of bike racks to park your bike safely.
Travelling by bus
To get there from the main railway station in Hildesheim, you can take bus line 2 (direction Hildesheim Im Mittelfeld) or line 4 (direction Hildesheim Itzum). The bus stop is Hildesheim Bohlweg. From there it is about 400 metres on foot to the Cathedral Museum.
Travelling by train
The city of Hildesheim is well connected to the railway network and can be reached by both local and long-distance trains. From Hanover, you can take the S3, S4 and RE10 trains to Hildesheim main station. From Braunschweig, there are several ICE and RE50 trains a day. You can then easily reach the Cathedral Museum by bus (see above).
Travelling by car
If you want to come by car, please remember that there are no parking facilities for visitors in the cathedral courtyard. In Hildesheim, follow the signs of the car park guidance system for the cathedral area or take a look at the parking facilities in Hildesheim in advance. The nearest car parks are Cityparkdeck (Kläperhagen 7) and Andreaspassage (Eckemekerstraße 1). From there it is about a five-minute walk to the museum. All car parks in the vicinity are subject to a charge.
